FANDANGO – A Treasure Hunt Contest of Skill

Contained within the book, "FANDANGO," are clues both visual and verbal. The key to the master riddle can be solved by using your intellect and skill (chance will not lead you to the treasure). The reader does not need to be present on Mount Desert Island to solve the Riddle. The reader does need to be present on Mount Desert Island to recover the Golden Key.

Nothing has been hidden or placed on private property. To discover the key, the reader must obey all laws. The book was first introduced to the public on June 29th, 2007. The Treasure Hunt will run until the riddle has been solved and the winner verified or until Nov.26th, 2020 (the "End Date") whichever is sooner.

Open to all except where prohibited by law. Anyone anywhere in the world can uncover the clues and solve the riddle to discover the key. Employees of Sponsor, their immediate family and agents participating in the creation of the Treasure Hunt are not eligible to enter.

Clues and the master riddle will be revealed after the End Date either on a website or in a subsequent publication. The actual Treasure is contained in a safety deposit box in a secure location. Should the treasure be unclaimed at the End Date, the value of the treasure (over $10,000) will be donated to a charity of the Sponsor’s choice.

Participants agree to obey all rules of the hunt, to respect private property and to obey all laws while participating in the hunt. The finder must give the Sponsor permission to publicize the finder’s name, unless prohibited by law.

The sponsor reserves the right not to reveal the winner, should the winner so request, until the End Date. After the End Date, the winner will be revealed. All federal, state and local taxes associated with the reception of the treasure will be the responsibility of the finder. The Sponsor will send a form 1099 to the finder which requires the disclosure of the finder’s social security number.

All materials and submissions to Sponsor become the property of the Sponsor and will not be returned. Sponsor accepts no liability for submissions or correspondence. By participating, all participants agree to release the Sponsor from any and all liability for any loss, damage or injury resulting from participating in the Treasure Hunt.

The Sponsor of the Treasure Hunt is Stockwell Publishing, 84 State Street Suite 300, Boston, MA 02109. Visit the website for the hunt at
